Our Trip to Pennsylvania

Natalie and I took a trip with my step mom, Phoebe, to Pennsylvania. I have been wanted to take Natalie to Sesame Place just outside of Philadelphia for a while, and while we were there we drove up to Hershey, Pennsylvania for a visit as well. We had a great time, went to several amusement parks and had really nice weather. We went to Sesame Place on our first day there.

Elmo's World Show which Natalie loved...she kept asking to see more shows

We went to a lunch with Elmo, but all of the characters were there. Natalie loved that she could say hello to all of them. This is her with Big Bird.

At the lunch with Elmo, they had all of the kids get up and dance with the characters...the kids LOVED that.

Another show that Natalie loved.

After we left Sesame Place, we drove to Hershey, where we stayed for the next few days.

Natalie at the hotel throwing coins into the fountain and making a wish. She wished for candy!

We went to Chocolate World, which was quite an impressive place. Natalie loved all of the chocolate!

Natalie helped make and package some Hershey's kisses (which she then kept and ate herself).

After we left Chocolate World, we went to Hershey Gardens, which was acres full of amazing flowers.

They had a little Children's Garden for kids that was really neat.

This is Natalie in the butterfly garden. You can't really see any butterflies in this picture, but there were hundreds of them.

Natalie got tired of walking, so Phoebe gave her a piggy back ride.

Natalie and Phoebe in front of the rose gardens. This picture doesn't really do the rose garden justice...it was absolutely amazing.

This was our third day at Hershey Park. I was amazed at how many rides they had for little kids.

Natalie loved that she could ride most of the kiddie rides by herself.

Natalie on the swings (that she rode about 4 times in a row)

Natalie on the mini tilt-a-whirl

Natalie loved this ride as well, and there was no line, so we had to pry her out of it after about the 7th ride

Our last day at Dutch Wonderland. This amusement park had only rides for little kids, which was great, and it was empty for most of the time that we were there

Natalie didn't really know what this was, but she thought it was really funny when she saw the picture

Me and Natalie on the boat

Natalie was so excited when they let her drive the boat (don't worry...we were the only people on the ride)

Natalie feeding the ducks (and trying to catch them)

Towards the end of the trip, Natalie would ask to have her picture taken...this was one of those times

I was a little nervous when I saw this ride because I thought Natalie might be scared of it. It went on a straight path and then threw the cart around the corner pretty fast. She LOVED it...she rode this one several times and just laughed and laughed.

Natalie wanted to ride the turtles and since she liked the previous ride so much, I thought she would like this one too. It was basically a tilt-a-whirl and as soon as the ride started, she started crying. I felt so bad for her, but she survived. Unfortunatley, we had to leave right after that to make it to the airport on time. She really had a great trip though!

Back to School Again

Wow, how the summer has flown by!! Natalie has started school again (only 2 days a week), but she has a new teacher and now does some activities in the afternoons as well. She really likes her little school, but it crazy to think how fast she is growing up!

Ireland

Steve and I took a trip to Belfast, in Northern Ireland, for my brother and Una's wedding. Ireland is beautiful and Una's parents set up a day trip while we were there to be able to see the most popular attractions. We had a great trip and the wedding was beautiful! This is the hotel where we stayed, The Culloden, and also where the rehersal dinner and reception was held.

A rope bridge that we went across...beautiful scenery.

Belfast had many big murals around town...I thought this one was really neat
