The Pumpkin Patch

After we got home from Tennessee, my dad and Phoebe stopped by for their fairly regular Sunday afternoon visit. After they left, we took Natalie to a little Pumpkin Patch to pick out some pumpkins, which we carved so nicely but unfortunatley rotted a few days later! Natalie liked the Pumpkin Patch though!

On To Memphis

After the funeral services in Gallatin, we drove back to Memphis to spend a few days with my Aunt Betty. Natalie was very excited to play with my cousin Collins' son Chandler and Lorry's kids Katie and Justin. We had a great time in Memphis and the weather was beautiful there!

Still watching Elmo...just decided to get a little more comfortable!

Aunt Betty hid some little pumpkins for Natalie and Chandler to find...they loved that.

Our Trip to Tennessee

My grandmother's sister past away a few weeks ago, so Natalie and I flew to Tennessee for her services. Aunt Babe, as she was called, was 90 years old and led a pretty amazing life to say the least. We went to visit every summer for a lot of years when I was younger and I always looked forward to the trip...I have a lot of great memories of her and her family.
This is the back of Aunt Babe's house...also the house where she and my grandmother were born.

The kittens on the back porch that Natalie tried so hard to catch.

The only kitten that would allow Natalie to pet her.

Natalie loved the farm where my Aunt Babe lived. There were so many animals she thought that she was at a zoo, even asking once where the hippos were!

The goats on the farm.

Natalie liked to look at the cows.

This was taken at the funeral service...I just liked this picture.

Natalie and I had a great time visiting with everyone (despite being there for a funeral) and we look forward to going back soon!

Playing Soccer...at 2 years old

Natalie is "playing" soccer with some kids in her little class 2 times a week. It is rather humorous because they really just run around and play and a few of them will kick the ball if they happen to run into it. There aren't a whole lot of "team" photos, as most kids tend to wander around aimlessly..imagine that!

The all important warm up

Clearly "guarding" the goal...ha

The kids favorite...snack time.

They don't get a lot of soccer playing in, but it is good for them to get together and run around. The parents have a good time too!

Fun With Stickers

Natalie got some stickers for her birthday that smell like strawberries (thanks Wendi). I guess she thinks that since they smell, they should be close to your nose. So one night she decided that everyone should be wearing the smelly stickers...and here's the end result.
Natalie thought it was SO funnly for everyone to have stickers on their faces.

Poor Belle had to have stickers too...you can tell she was thrilled...she was a good sport though!

Swimming with Cousins

So I am obviously way behind on the blogging again (I know...what's new). This pictures were from our trip to MeMe and PawPaws house to visit Natalie's cousins from California. She likes to play with Jake, but she LOVES baby Logan!

Natalie giving Logan a little smooch.
Natalie and Jake were pouring water on their heads and thought that was the greatest things ever. They must have done that over and over for at least 20 minutes or so.

Still going....

A little rest in the hot tub after all of the water pouring fun!!

Natalie's Birthday Party

We had Natalie's birthday party here at the house a few weeks ago. I had every intention of taking a lot of pictures but ended up with very few (especially few of people who were here). This birthday party was a lot of fun for the kids. My father-in-law got a HUGE pump up slide/bouncer for Natalie for her birthday. The thing took up half of our backyard, but the kids had a blast! This was my first year to make Natalie's birthday cake (I did have a lady come over to help me with the fondant since I had never used that before). Everyone seemed to like it, but I spent most of the day before working on it...might to something a little easier next year!

Natalie opened her presents outside...didn't want to make all of the kids dry off and come in.

Here is a picture of what I call the monstrosity! This thing looked so big in our backyard!

Natalie spent most of her time sitting at the end of the slide. She thought it was so funny to watch the kids come down.

Here is some video (from my father-in-law) that I have tried to download for the first time.
