Girlfriends

This is from a day that Natalie spent with my friend Shannon's girls, Brielle and Makenna. It was Makenna's birthday, so I took the girls to Sweet and Sassy to have their nails done. Natalie didn't want anything to do with letting the ladies paint her fingernails or toenails, but she was very happy to watch while Brielle and Makenna had theirs done. Natalie is even willing to share her treat!

Natalie wanted to be in the middle of the action, but still didn't want anyone touching her fingernails!

After the spa day, we came back to the house and went swimming with the little girls across the street, Kylie and Makayla.

Rafe's Birthday

This is Natalie with one of her best friends, Rafe. We were out of town for Rafe's actual birthday party and they didn't get to see a lot of each other this summer since Dawn was working and our schedules never quite seemed to work out. We had taken the kids to Chuck E Cheese and this was just after we got out of our cars. I love this picture because they held hands and started talking to each other like old friends catching up (at 3 years old)!

The Weekend of Fun

It's really true...I am now 1 month behind on the blog! Back in July, we took Natalie and my nephew Matt to the circus. It is the first time that we have taken Natalie and she loved it (she was quite impressed with the cotton candy too). They next day we went to the dog show, where we only got one picture, but Natalie was so excited that the dog in the picture looked so much like our dog Belle.

The tigers...little scary, but really cool

Natalie spent a lot of time clapping

Natalie still so excited

I thought the elephants were pretty impressive (it's been a while since I've been to the circus)

At the dog show....the dog that looks so much like Belle (and don't think I haven't tried to find this little costume online)!

Our Week in Galveston

As always, I am playing catch up with the blog. We went to Galveston several weeks ago with my family on my mom's side. We don't get to see many of those cousins too often, so it was great fun. It was really nice for all of our kids to now play together too.Natalie playing in the ocean

Fourth of July Fireworks

We went to a few little swim parties during the day, but somehow I couldn't manage to get any pictures! After dark, we went down to the neighborhood golf course where they were having fireworks...we went with our neighbors across the street (who Natalie loves). The kids had a great time and I think Natalie was just as excited to be staying up late!
Steve, Natalie, MaKayla & Kylie waiting for the fireworks

Still waiting (and playing)

More waiting...patiently

Finally, let the fireworks begin...Natalie clapped most of the time

Natalie loved the fireworks but wasn't crazy about how loud it was, so she found a good solution. She didn't make it to bed until almost 10:00, but she slept in probably later than she ever has this morning (9:30). She was worn out after all of the Fourth of July action!

Day Trip to Brenham

We took a little road trip today to Brenham (home of the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory) with a few of Natalie's little friends from school. All of the kids had a really good time. We went to the Blue Bell Factory, then to eat lunch and then to a place where the kids could see some ponies.

Natalie was excited to get some ice cream!

Time for ice cream!!!

Natalie loving every bite...she picked the strawberry ice cream...seems to be her favorite

Leaving the lunch stop (thankfully they had a little room where we could all sit together)

At the pony stop...unfortunately the kids couldn't pet the ponies, but they had fun looking at them.

Thanks to DeAnn for putting all of this together...it was a lot of fun!!
